Jess brings her passion for Estate Planning and client-centric legal solutions to our Wills and
Estate Team at Blackwell Short. With a background spanning Estate Planning, Probate and
Estate Administration, and Estate Litigation, Jess works hard to advise and support her
clients to navigate the complexities of succession and estate law.

Admitted in 2018, Jess’s professional journey has seen her focus her practice in the area of
Wills and Estates, as well as gain valuable experience in commercial law, civil litigation, and
corporate governance. Jess is also a trained Collaborative Wills & Estates Practitioner and active member of the Australian and NSW Collaborative Practice Professionals. This
experience offers clients a unique, relationship-driven approach to dispute resolution,
ensuring that clients’ needs are met with empathy and efficiency.

Hailing from the Central West, Jess is deeply rooted in the local community, bringing a
strong understanding of its dynamics to her legal practice. Having completed a double
Bachelor of Laws and Agriculture, Jess has a strong interest in the role of Farm Succession
and Estate Planning in farming operations, and is currently enrolled in a Masters in Applied
Law, specializing in Rural Transition and Succession Planning.
